CellCentric is a privately funded company. The business was founded in 2004. In 2006 Takeda Pharmaceutical’s investment arm took a minority stake in the business.

Other funders include Morningside Venture Investments, Avlar BioVentures, Providence Investment Company, the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts, the Rainbow Seed Fund and Cambridge University’s Seed Funds.
